Martin Mulligan is the founder of Vuca Treasury. Since 1994, Martin has structured and sold foreign currency, interest rate and commodity hedges for corporate and financial institutional clients at a number of major banks in Ireland, Australia and the UK. He has also provided subject matter expertise on disputes involving interest rate derivatives. Prior to founding Vuca Treasury, Martin set up and ran the consulting division of a treasury management firm advising firms in the UK and Ireland on all aspects of treasury.
Martin graduated from University College Dublin with a Bachelor of Commerce (Banking & Finance) and holds a Masters in Investment and Treasury from Dublin City University. He has been a member of the Association of Corporate Treasurers since 2013.
Martin lives in London with his wife and two kids. They think he has a great sense of humour, which goes to show that not all teenagers know everything.
David is a seasoned financial professional with over 25 years of experience in the financial markets. With a degree in Bachelor of Accounting and Finance, David has built a robust career spanning three continents, including Australia, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom. This extensive international experience has provided David with a deep understanding of global financial systems and markets.
Outside of work, David is a dedicated parent who cherishes spending quality time with his son. An avid sports enthusiast, he enjoys watching a wide variety of sports, particularly Australian Rules Football and Cricket.
Conor Deering is an experienced Treasury Consultant with a demonstrated history of working in the financial services industry. He is skilled in the areas of Foreign Exchange and Interest Rate Hedging, Market Analysis, and Market Research. His research and insights have been published by a range of media outlets including The Economist, The Guardian and Yahoo! News.
After returning from a period living and working in China, Conor began his career in the back office, rising to become Head of Operations before moving into front office roles as a Senior Corporate Dealer and Treasury Consultant. Consequently, Conor has a deep understanding of the full life cycle of treasury transactions.
Conor has a strong finance background with a Bachelor of Arts (BA) focused in Business/Commerce, from Dublin City University. He is a member of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI).
He is a long serving Leeds United fan and is patiently awaiting the return of the glory days under David O’Leary. Outside of the hot seat, he can be found running the hills in ultra-races or training for the latest triathlon
